About Paw Health Pet Nutrition
Welcome to Paw Health Pet Nutrition.
I am a Qualified Nutritionist for both dogs and cats graduating from the National College of Traditional Medicine in 2016.
It is my mission to help both dogs and cats be healthy and happy with fresh raw food, and feeding a biological diet is the best way to achieve this!
I believe a raw food diet doesn’t have to be confusing, complicated, or overly expensive. For these reasons, I create diets for both dogs and cats which are simple, convenient, and easy to follow without compromising on your pet’s health – you’ll be a pro in no time!
It’s all achievable with a BARF diet (biological appropriate raw food or bones and raw food) which consist of whole or minced raw meaty bones, muscle meat, fruit and vegetables, offal, and a range of natural food supplements to enhance the diet.
My meal packages offer the traditional BARF style of feeding for small cats and dogs and a BARF diet with a twist suitable for medium to large breed dogs, or dogs of all sizes with a healthy appetite!
A raw food diet will require just a little bit of your time and effort, but the long-term rewards are undeniably worthwhile. It is a very empowering experience just knowing exactly what your pet is consuming by making the food yourself, and you will have me to help and support you on the journey to make it all humanly possible!
Every pet is unique and that is why I customise the diet to suit the needs of growing puppies and kittens, fussy pets, healthy pets, miniature to giant breed pets, pets of all ages and pets with health issues!
A dog & cat is designed to eat RAW
‘You can take the animal out of the wild, but you can’t take the wild out of the animal’.
Evolution may have changed many things, but the basic workings or physiology of your cat and dog is almost identical to their wild ancestors, the wolf, and the African wild cat.
Just like their wild ancestors, both dogs and cats have a short digestive tract which has been designed to digest raw meat and bones. When your pet is eating a raw food diet the gastric PH of their stomach is extremely low, meaning the acidity is high and able to break down raw meat and bones without any issues. The low PH is also effective at killing off any harmful bacteria such as Salmonella and E. coli. Pathogenic bacteria cannot survive in a highly acidic environment.
If your cat is blessed with the freedom of the outdoors, he or she will instinctively catch a bird and eat it whole from the beak to the tail feathers without any issues. The mere thought of feeding your pet raw meat, bones and offal may seem utterly disgusting to you, but your pet can stomach it (pun intended)!
Both cats and dogs have adapted to eating raw living foods from the beginning of existence, it is how their bodies were designed, natural foods just as Mother Nature intended!

Welcome all pet lovers, I’m Annie!
Animals are very special to me and I have always been lucky enough to share my life with a beautiful dog or cat companion by my side.
Paw Health Pet Nutrition was born from my own personal journey with health issues. I was employed in a stressful corporate role working long hours and I didn’t have the time to focus on a nutritious diet. As a result, my health and well-being suffered greatly, and I knew that a change was needed if I wanted to be healthy again.
As the ancient Greek Physician Hippocrates once said, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”, I went back to basics and applied this philosophy into my own healing journey.
My pets were also suffering with health-related issues from what I now know to be a direct result of poor nutrition. Expensive vet treatment for painful dental disease had three of my cats lose most of their precious teeth, they were overweight and suffered from many allergies. I was just as determined to get my pets health in order as I had been with my own, but with an overload of information on Google, I didn’t know where to begin.
I made the decision to change my career path and studied nutrition and herbs with the National College of Traditional Medicine (NCTM). I have a Certificate in both Nutrition and Herbal Medicine for Companion Pets and am a member of the Small Animal Naturopathic Association (SAENA). I am based in Melbourne but help all pet owners Australia wide!
Before I launched my career, I successfully transitioned my own pets to a biological appropriate raw food diet (commonly known as BARF) and haven’t looked back. I have now helped many pet owners do the same and the positive results have been incredible!
I want to help your companion live a healthy and happy life too. I truly believe that all pets deserve to reap the wonderful rewards a raw food diet has to offer.
